Im pretty sad to be leaving but itll all work out. Im going to be companions with an Elder from Argentina. I dont know very much about cucuta but apparently its pretty hot.. Im not looking forward to the climate chnge. Its also at the border with venezuela. Well thats all ive got for right now. More info tomorrow.
Im almost out of time so itll be a short letter this week. I dont have a lot to talk about anyway. My companion was sick with a fever for 4 days so we were stuck in the house. That was pretty miserable…. We were supposed to have a baptism on saturday but the girl didnt show up… that was really sad.. But other than that im doing great here. Still eating ants and enjoying the rain. I love and miss you all.

How are ya’ll doing? I’m still doing great here in Bucaramanga. Doing great but soaking wet. Its been raining pretty much every day this week. That’s been a little bit annoying to deal with but we keep pressing on. One of our investigators here gave us some ants to eat and i really wanted to send them to you but i think they will go bad. Ill have to eat them by myself, they really do taste like popcorn. Hmm I’m trying to think of what else interesting happened this week. We did a whole lot climbing up mountains to teach the people out in the boonies so my legs hurt a lot but some great experiences up there. We have a baptism planned for this saturday, a 20 year old girl we are teaching. She is great and really has a desire to change her life. I’m looking forward to that. Today for our P-day we went to play soccer in the morning, got pretty sunburned, then went and ate a the new subway. Here in the local mall its a mini car show and they have a 65 mustang. I was pretty excited to see that. I took a picture and ill send that soon. Well that’s about all I’ve got to say for now. Love and miss you.
ps, I finally got my birthday package thank you, and a leetter from tessa also
Hola mi querido familia y amigos,
YO estoy escuchando algunos chismes que ustedes no les gustan cuando yo digo super, no importa, es una palabra que yo uso casi todas mis días aquí. Translate that. Im doing great here in los Pinos. We had two baptism this last weekend, two kids whos parents are less active. They are great kids and im sure that they will be examples to their parents. That was a great expirience for us as well as the ward. We have also got some other great people who are progressing really well, but like always the problem is getting them to go to church on sunday. Thats one of our biggest challenges here. Before i forget, happy birthday dad. I didnt really do anything special to celebrate but i was thinging about you. Ive been teaching a mechanic here and we talk alot about cars and he said hes gonna try to get me tickets to a car show that coming up soon. Hopefully its on amonday or we cant go… That would be pretty fun though. I dont see a lot of nice cars down here but the nice people make up for it. We had our ward conference this week and it was really good. A lot of great mesages about the obidience. (please forgive my spelling errors) Today for my pday i made a gringo hamburge and it was delicious. Just meat cheese onions bread and sauce. Im not a huge fan of hamburgers with meat, chicken, lettuce, tomato, egg, pineapple, tuna, onion, and aquacate…. its a lot of stuff. Well thats about all ive got to say for this week. I love and miss you all.
Hello family and friends,
Well this week was a pretty exciting week. Its been raining super hard here. Pretty much every single day… Its been fun, lots of walking with umbrellas. The weather here is crazy, one minute its super hot and the next its a downpour, it changes super fast. We had about a two and a half hour appointment this week just cause we couldn’t leave the house cause it was raining so hard. Other than the weather we had a good week.
First off i want to say happy birthday mom. I bought a cake to celebrate your birthday for you. Happy birthday. Happy birthday to dad as well.
We had a great time this week visiting the jungles of our area to visit the families that live super far away. We found some places that we didn’t know existed. Ill send some pictures of the forests of colombia a little bit later. We had some great visits with less active members this week. I’m having a great time here in colombia and for about the first time in my 8 months here i haven’t felt sick to my stomach this week. Well that’s about all i’ve got for you guys this week.
Love and miss you all.Elder Sawyer
I DIDNT GET TRANSFERED. That was great to hear last night. Elder Carillo and Elder Molina from my district got their visas so they will be going to Argentina but other than that we are still the same. Im super excited for the chance for more time here in Pinos. I love it here. We’ve also still got a whole lot of work left to do here. Ill be working in a trio with Elder Ramsey and elder Charca until a new companion comes for Ramsey. It’ll be a big temptation to not speak English all the time so i hope his companion comes soon. Well im happy with that and this week was pretty good for us. We were able to find quiet a few people to teach as well as have a lot of great opportunities to teach. I decided to cancel our English class this week and that was a little sad. But it was becoming a waste of time, maybe someday itll work out. It was super fun while it lasted. I had been teaching for the last 2 months or so. Well I’m not exactly sure what else to say this week. I’m still happy, healthy and enjoying myself here. I’m looking forward to my birthday but more excited for Sunday when I can talk to you all. That’s about all I’ve got this week. I love and miss you all.
Tastes like popcorn!

Hello family and friends,
So this was a pretty good week for us, we had our first baptism here in Los Pinos for quite some time. This last Saturday we had a baptism for our investigator along with a family that the elders from kennedy were teaching. It was a great night and we had a lot of support from the ward. She was super happy afterwards and even more happy when she was confirmed a member of the church the next day. We’ve also got a baptism date for her younger brother on my birthday (happy birthday to me) and we are pretty sure it’ll work out. He is a great kid. We had a great time teaching this week, its was super fun. We did a whole lot of walking and I’ve now got a pair of shoes that are just about dead but they still work just fine. We’ve starting a huge effort with the ward leaders to get every ward member to be a missionary and so far its been awesome. WE have a whole of help right now. I’m pretty nervous that we have transfers next week but lets see what happens. That’s about all I’ve got for this week. I love and miss you all.
